[email protected] An ex-student of Takapuna Grammar School, Louise was delighted to return to the school in 2014 as a Deputy Principal. Her teaching subjects are Classical Studies, Social Studies and Music, and she enjoyed being a dean and a Head of Department earlier in her career. Louise is inspired by the concept of Lifelong Learning and is proud that this school is one in which students, teachers and community learn together. Her portfolio here at TGS is Personnel and Professional Learning, and includes the Leadership Institute.
Deputy Principal: Will Scovell
[email protected] Will and his family are members of the Devonport community. Will has been teaching at Takapuna Grammar for ten years. He was appointed Deputy Principal in 2016, having previously been Head of Physical Education and Health. Before joining Takapuna Grammar, Will gained five years of valuable experience in boys' schools which sparked a passion for driving student engagement and achievement. His portfolio at TGS includes assessment, reporting and responsibility for the school prefects.

Assistant Principal: Jake Lamb
Originally from Christchurch, Jake is Faculty Head of Languages and Assistant Principal responsible for International Students at Takapuna Grammar. With a Bachelor's degree in Japanese, he spent a number of years working in Japan before returning to New Zealand in 2002. Jake has worked for five years as a dean and he served for three years on the school Board of Trustees. One of the many things that Jake enjoys about working with students at TGS is our cultural diversity. He believes that with so many different cultures engaging with each other, TGS is an interesting and exciting place to be.
