International Faculty celebrates former IB students success
The very first year that Takapuna Grammar School started enrolling our international students on the International Baccalaureate was in 2014. There were just five students enrolled on the course back then. Last week some of the students got back in touch with the International Faculty and updated us on their post graduate studies they are currently undertaking. They wanted to pass on their appreciation for our teachers and the school and what fond memories they still have of Takapuna Grammar.
Three of these inaugural students are:
Muyu (Naomi) Liu has been accepted by the University of Cambridge for a master degree course major in Finance after she successfully finished her bachelor at The University of Manchester.
Yuxuan (Tom) Zhang has been accepted by the Imperial College London for master degree course major in Engineering after he successfully finished his bachelor at The University of Manchester. He was nominated/selected by the head of department for his excellent performance.
Xiaorong (Elena) Li has been accepted by The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology after she successfully finished her bachelor at Melbourne University.
The former students all said that their achievement today is because they all benefited from enrolling on the IB course and the guidance and support they received from all the teachers here.
