Global links with IB school in UK
Year 12 Tū Tangata students Monty Rose, Finn Barrett and Hugo Doughty were interviewed by Rex, an International Baccalaureate student from Hockerill College in the UK as part of her project looking at cultural appropriation of Māori culture. As part of her Social Anthropology assessment, Rex talked with the TGS students via Skype about ethnicity and identity, using and the teaching of te Reo Māori and tikanga. She will use their comments as part of her primary source to complete her project. She was grateful to Monty, Finn and Hugo for their time and insights into Māori culture in New Zealand.
This is an excellent example of the global links that the IB Diploma Programme at TGS has enabled us to make. For more information about IB please visit the following link here.
