Community of Learning - Kāhui Ako Conference photos
On Tuesday 5 June our school hosted its ﬁrst inaugural Devonport/Takapuna Kāhui Ako Conference. This Community of Learning initiative involved teachers and support staﬀ from Takapuna Grammar, Belmont Intermediate and Bayswater, Belmont, Devonport, Stanley Bay and Vauxhall primary schools. The focus of the day was on building learning focused relationships within our schools and started with keynote speakers Laurayne Tafa and Dr Michelle Dickinson. Participants attended a range of workshops on areas such as Leadership, Well-being, Building Relationships and being Future Ready.
The main aims of the conference were to:
-Feel connected to the Kāhui Ako, the people within it, and the Kāhui Ako, framework
-Share eﬀective educational practice that supports teachers in building learning focused relationships
-Apply new learnings to your educational practice in order to improve student outcomes
