Takapuna has five houses. Kaha, Ihi, Mana, Māia and Wehi. Each house has its own unique identity, spirit, and forges a sense of belonging and camaraderie among the pupils. They are integral communities within the larger school environment.
Students are typically assigned to a house upon enrolment, and they remain part of that house throughout their time at the school. This creates a strong sense of loyalty and connection to their peers and the house's traditions, contributing to a positive and supportive learning environment.
Post High School can be both exciting and daunting. We prepare our students to face new challenges, and make the most of opportunities, and experiences that present themselves.
Whether students choose to pursue higher education, enter the workforce, or take a gap year, it's important they are prepared for change. Expect to meet new people, explore different interests, and develop a greater sense of independence.
