Physical Education helps students to develop the skills, knowledge, and competencies to live healthy and physically active lives at school and for the rest of their life. Science is fundamental to understanding the world around us. It is a way of investigating, understanding and explaining the world in which we live and work. Having a sound knowledge of core Science concepts as well as an understanding of how Science works is an important part of engaging with real world issues.
Through the Social Sciences, students develop the knowledge and skills to enable them to better understand, participate in, and contribute to the local, national, and global communities in which they live and work; engage critically with societal issues; and evaluate the sustainability of alternative social, economic, political, and environmental practices.

Tū Tangata is a unique programme that supports student development within a Māori context. Grounded in tikanga Māori, students are mentored in ceremonial protocols (tikanga and kawa), leadership, and kotahitanga (collaboration). The programme fosters a strong sense of identity and belonging, while offering academic support through homework clubs and mentoring.
