In our sessions, we explore the richness of classical texts through a balanced programme of literary analysis and practical performance work. Students examine themes, language, and dramatic techniques in Shakespeare’s plays, while also bringing scenes to life through rehearsal, performance, drama games, and creative writing activities inspired by classical styles. By combining discussion with active participation, members deepen their understanding of theatre while developing their performance skills.
Throughout the year, students have opportunities to apply their knowledge in the National Shakespeare Festival as well as small performances, and end-of-year showcases.
